June 2010: Initial Peace Corps application submitted.
July 2010: Peace Corps interview at the Atlanta Office.
July 28th 2010: Georgia is awesomely, fantastically nominated to serve in the realm of community development in SubSaharan, Fracophone Africa, leaving June 2011.
August 2010: Get medical packet in the mail.
December 9, 2010: Finally, finally, finally completed the bane of my existence– the Peace Corps Medical Packet.
March 15, 2011: Peace Corps sends polio booster requirement back.
March 16th, 2011: Polio booster complete, proof faxed.
March 17th: Medically Cleared
March 19th: Legally Cleared.
April 13th: Told I would need to complete 30 more hours of volunteer work in the field of Youth and Community Development. Application withdrawn by Placement Officer until requirements met.
May 8th: Placement Officer reinstates application after 30 hours have been completed.
June 15th: Phone Interview. Invite in mail for Sub-Saharan, Francophone African country in a program working with youth.
June 20th: Officially invited to be Youth Development Coordinator in Cameroon.
